CHANCE VOUGHT F7U-3 CUTLASS • $180,000 • ATTENTION MUSEUMS! • The Cutlass is one of the rarest jet fighters in existence today. The Cutlass has been under going a 20 year restoration process. There is still work remaining to be done however this airplane is believed to have the cleanest airframe of all the Cutlass's remaining. Less than half a dozen are left out of 288 built. The Cutlass first flew in 1946 and went into USN Fleet Service in 1954 with VF81. A tailless delta wing twin engine jet fighter the Cutlass was far ahead of it's time.
