O-320 A2B Logbook 15 June 72 TTE approximately 1550. Engine major overhauled in accordance with Lyc O-320 overhaul manual, all steel parts magnafluxed, connecting rods modified as per SI-1183, new rod bolts installed, new main and rod bearings, new rings, two new piston plugs, new hoses, gaskets, welch plug, new exhaust guides, valves ground and cylinders gas checked, new oil pump gear, all parts "miked" and check within manufacturer's standard limits. I certify that this engine is in airworthy condition. New oil filter installed. Mark Schlames A&P 1774775 This engine was then installed in a Mustang II in 1972. The next logbook entry is 8/1/91 when it was installed in the Anderson Kingfisher. One must suspect some mishap and possible a prop strike. 8/1/91 Engine installed in Kingfisher 8003Z. Prior installation cylinders removed, valve guides re-reamed, cylinders, pistons, etc. cleaned. Honed cylinders, ground valves, reassembled engine. Installed brass float in carburetor and mounted air box (170 Cessna type from Wag Aero) Engine run on aircraft approx. 1 & 1/2 hours. D. Corning 7/21/92 Approximate total time 1563.0 hours. Disassembled engine. Crankshaft reworked by Aircraft Engine and Accessory Co. W.O. #56872. Rod throws polished, Main journals ground .003. Reinstalled Crank with new main & rod bearings. Connecting rods reworked by AEA W.O. # 56873. Installed new rod bolts and nuts. Crankshaft gear reworked to comply with SB 475A, new bolt and lock plate. Installed reground camshaft and lifter bodies AEA W.O. # 56761 & 56762. C/W AD 92-16-16 by installing float stamped 4-92. Cleaned Distributor gears and blocks in both magnetos. C/W AD 78-09-07R3 by installing new style impulse coupling P/N 10-400313. Engine Reassembled I/A/W Lycoming overhaul manual using new seals and gaskets. Engine to be installed in aircraft by owner and serviced with non-detergent oil. New ES-48110 oil filter installed. C. Swain 1834561 AP
