I’ve had 31November since the year 2000 and have put 2,300 hours on it. What a perfect plane for my mission profile of business, family trips and adventure trips. In addition to all the flying adventures in the blog (www.westcoastflyingadventures.com), I wrote the book, “Fifty Classic Destination for Pilots” (see amazon.com) and the non-aviation book, “Fifty Classic Adventures” (see http://www.fiftyclassics.com).

In addition to the adventures above, 31N has helped count wild horses in Nevada, transport doctors to clinics in Mexico, taken professional photographers up over some of the national parks at sunset/sunrise and has been to Canada and Alaska several times.

And along the way 31N transported me on business trips to represent clients in the sale of their business in most western states. From flying an approach in light snow in Colorado to picking up a tad of ice leaving Seattle’s Boeing Field, flying for business can at the same time be adventurous.

Now it’s time for 31N to take someone else on these types of adventures!

I’m moving over (OK, down) to a Cessna 182 as I gradually fly less, but am still paying quite a bit for annuals, insurance, etc.

The coveted 1979 T210N was the first year with simplified landing gear system with no gear doors. The gear down lever is also, literally, the handle for the hydraulic actuator, greatly simplifying the system. This is also the first year with an increased maximum takeoff weight of 4,000 lbs, up from 3,800 lbs. Many believe this is the first year that the kinks were worked out of the 210.

Here’s the opportunity to pick up a very clean T210N airframe, fully equipped, and fly it for some number of years before putting in an overhauled engine.

Airframe

  • Extremely clean airframe
  • 5,142 Total hours (average for the fleet)
  • Annual 10/2023 (fresh annual)
  • No damage history
  • Complete logbooks
  • Very healthy 1,652 lbs useful load
  • Six place built-in Oxygen
  • Oxygen system recently hydro tested, 4/23

Engine / Prop / Turbo

  • Engine SMOH 1,481 (2007 by Corona Aircraft Engines)
  • TSIO-520R 310 HP, TBO 1,400
  • Propeller SMOH: 101 hours (2021)
  • Turbo SMOH 1,481
  • GAMI Injectors installed and tuned, plane runs smoothly lean-of-peak
  • Engine runs strong. Compressions (9/2023): 1:63, 2:64, 3:63, 4:61, 5:65, 6:64
  • Knisley Exhaust
  • Recent Turbo bracket AD complied with

Avionics:

  • PS Engineering Audio Panel w/ 6 place intercom
  • Standby frequency on the Avidyne can be monitored using COM3 button on the audio panel, love that.
  • The “ADF” button on the audio panel enables an audio altitude deviation alert, set on the transponder.
  • Avidyne IFD 540 WAAS GPS Nav/Com
  • GPS, ILS,LOC, VOR approaches
  • Audible warnings at 500 and 100 feet above the runway
  • Audible terrain alerts
  • Additional gear down annunciator light high on up on panel in direct field of view
  • Avidyne MLB-100 ADSB Weather & Traffic displayed on the 540
  • Avidyne 340 ADSB Out Transponder
  • JPI 830 Engine monitor with CHTs, EGTs, TIT, % power, fuel flow, fuel remaining, oil temp, outside temp
  • Fuel flow is also transmitted to the Avidyne. E.g. “Distance to Empty”, and it will draw a dashed line circle on the map for how far you can get on your current fuel. Best to plan to be within the line… I particularly like “Fuel Remaining at Dest”. On a long flight if “Fuel Remaining at Dest” falls below 20 gallons because of weather or change in plans, I’ll start planning a fuel stop.
  • King 155 NAV/COM
  • Century NSD 360 HSI
  • Century 2000 Autopilot with altitude hold. It will intercept and track ILS and WAAS approaches both laterally and with glide slope from the IFD 540.
  • New software update to the Avidyne now allows visual GPS approaches and the Century 2000 will fly them, including glideslope.
  • Electric Trim
  • IFR Transponder check 2023
  • Low Vacuum warning light
  • Low voltage warning light
  • Avionics Master
  • Dual PTT

Exterior:

  • 8/10
  • Paint very good
  • Two opening windows
  • LED Taxi and Landing lights
  • LED tail beacon
  • LED wing and tail position lights
  • Recent Wing spar AD inspection/eddy current test/repaint completed 5/23
  • Wing spar originally zinc-chromated from factory so unlikely to have wing spar problems in the future

Interior:

  • 8/10
  • Front seats in great condition, always covered
  • Back seats good, some wear on corners
  • Carpet great, installed 5 years ago
  • New headliner
