Prop strike in 1990, engine repaired with 90% new parts at 283 hrs, now 515 since complete O/H. Airframe restored in 2010 and has been flying great every since. Originally bought from the factory by Paul R. Braniff, to Braniff Airlines March 1930, American Airways flew it for a time. In 1936, back to Fairchild Aerial Surveys as a camera platform. 1930 STINSON SM8A "DETROITER" • $125,000 • FOR SALE The ground-up restoration of this fine aircraft was completed in 1998, and it has been flown regularly, on a few occasions it was on display in an antique aircraft museum. Only TT 2802 since factory. The 225 Lycoming, from the Navy in 1954 was O/H, and O/H again in 1998. Engine has 141 since 1998 (SMOH). Polished Ham/Std ground adjustable prop.
