BiPlane Fly In
By Dr Buck Willis , Contributing Editor, Texas
Glenn Watson, Contributing Photographer, Georgetown TX
I wanted to give you all news about our successful BiPlane FlyIn last weekend in San Marcos TX. 33 planes flew in ranging from a 1920s Great lakes to an Antonov AN-2.

We held competitions for various categories with the owners winning special awards.

Biggest BiPlane was Jim Wolcott's Antonov AN-2
Best Warbird was Tom & Brian Cook's PT-17 38LG

Best Experimental Biplane was Chip Cotton's Skybolt

Best Vintage BiPlane was the Great Lakes by George Wilhite

Best BiPlane Overall was Charlie Anderson's PT-17

The Yellow Rose Squadron flew three sorties which the Big Kids enjoyed and the kids loved getting to crawl inside that B-25 as well as the Antonov.
