1941 AERONCA CHIEF • $27,000 • FOR SALE BY OWNER • I purchased this in 2019. The engine was majored in 1955 and new cylinders were placed in 1959. It was still covered in cotton and the engine was well preserved with oil up to the base of the cylinders. Polyfiber recover 2020. Total time 1960 hours. Engine 600 hours. cylinders since new have353 hours. WW2 trainer with all logs back to 1943 when in got a brand new engine and was purchased by the military. No electrical system other than an ELT. Prop starts on the first try. This flys I think better than a cub and side by side. It has an auxiliary gas tank.
